Forward paddling: the catch

   Set up the catch

   • Reach forward with the whole torso, not just the arm.\nTop hand around eye level.\nBlade fully buried before you pull.

   Drive with rotation

   • Pull by unwinding the trunk, not bending the arm.\nKeep the lower arm long.\nFeel the connection through the footrest.
3. 3

   Clean exit

   • Take the blade out at the hip.\nNo dragging water past your body.\nRelax the grip on the recovery.
